Q: Can the U.S. Mission help me locate a relative, child or friend from the Vietnam War?
A: We understand there are many who may be looking to locate individuals and loved ones in Vietnam. Unfortunately, the U.S. Mission is unable ꧙to assist with this type of request. We recommend contacting other U.S.-based groups s🀅uch as Amerasian non-governmental organizations or .

Q: I’d like to meet with someone from the U.S. Mission.  Who do I contact?
A: In limited cases, U.S. Mission representatives may be available to meet with groups of U.S. veterans. Please email estrela bet:VietnamVeterans@state.gov and we will get back to you soon. Please include information on your group, including organization name, number of people in your group, name of a point of contact, and a copy of your Vietnam travel itinerary. Q: Can the U.S. Mission arrange my visit to Vietnam or facilitate government meetings?
A: The U.S. Mission welcomes the visits of groups and individuals to Vietnam as an important aspect of strengthening people-to-people ties between our two countries. Unfortunately, the U.S. Mission is unable to assist with this type of request. We recommend contacting local travel agencies in Vietnam. U.S. veterans’ groups in the past have also successfully worked with Vietnam Union of Friendship Organizations (VUFO) or the U.S. NGO PeaceTrees Vietnam to help arrange their Vietnam trips, including requesting official meetings with Vietnamese ve♈terans or cultural/history tours.

Q: Can the U.S. Mission help me recover items from an American service-member that I believe is in Vietnam or in possession by the Government of Vietnam?
A: We understand there are many who may be looking to locate items in Vietnam. Unfortunately, the U.S. Mission is unable to assist with this type of request. We recommend contacting the Vietnamese Embassy in Washington D.C. at estrela bet:vanphong@vietnamembassy.us and they can connect you to the proper authorities in Vietnam who 𝔍may be able to help𒈔.

Q: Is there anything else I need to know before traveling to Vietnam?
